Tools:
-2 work tables and 2 chairs for work during install.
-electric (battery) drill and drill bits
-2 ladders
-measuring tape
-jig saw
-japanese saws (various)
-power strip for computer with spike protection if you do that sort of thing in Japan.
- normal extension cords
Done to house
- we need 3- 16 amp circuits in the nurses room or in the residential space. We will need to figure
out which space is best for the computer control room and amps, whichever would give us better
access to above the roof would probably be the best control room.
Shipping
We will have to air freight a small crate or trunk. Would you please find out the latest that we could
ship it so that it is there by July 15th. It would have to ship from Grindrod BC to the site.
Ok thats all for now.
Thanks
George
Dear Toshio
Some explanation and many questions.
We are now planning that the water will run down the outside surface of the inside windows. Water
would collect in an aluminum tray in the space at the bottom of the windows and then be drained
back somehow to another room (either the nurses room OR the residential room) where the pump
would be installed.
The bottom of the windows would be sealed with silicon to the aluminum and any exposed wood
would have to be sealed with marine varnish or paint. The window surfaces would also have to be
sealed with silicon. Silicon is good as it can easily be cut off later.
My main worry is how we drain the trays and how we get the pipes from the pumps in other rooms to
the windows.
If you have any ideas this would be appreciated?
Here is our preliminary shopping list:
MacPro Desktop Computer- least expensive with PCI slots
MOTU 24 I/O with PCIe card

MOTU Microlite
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/microlite
3 x Yamaha Amplifiers HTR 6030. If not available in Japan equivalent BUT MUST have 5.1 ANALOG
inputs.
We need to get gel or film (to cover the outside windows). The effect we want is to make it appear
as dark as night outside BUT still be able to see through the windows. Do you have any ideas? We
have tried this film product Roscoe E-Colour #299 1.2 ND but it needed three layers of the stuff to
make it dark enough. We could do this but it would be nicer to get something that we only needed
one layer. It comes in rolls 4 feet wide by 25 feet long.
We will also need pumps but as we are still testing I cannot tell you what size we will need until we
are finished.
We will also need plastic pipe and stuff but this will have to wait for a bit. Once the system is working
here I will send a diagram of what parts we will need.
What type of plastic pipe is available in Japan and in what sizes?
Will the show be on during the daylight hours only or also at night? This is a consideration for our
lighting.
